Hawaii!! – Day Five
Day 5 was the first day in the beach cottage at the resort. We spent the first 3 nights in the hotel part, and moved to the cottage for our last two nights. It was so nice, being able to walk out the back door right across a beautiful lawn filled with hammocks and right down to the beach. We were surprised to see that the cottages were also a popular bird hangout including wild roosters. We had a lazy day, walked the beach, and then went briefly exploring a nearby historic monument, Pu’u O Mahuka Heiau (yes I had to look that up to remember). There were some nice hiking paths to get views overlooking the north shore.
